Vigilant Love is a grassroots organization challenging Islamophobia and white supremacy in Southern California and beyond.
This week marks one year of genocide within 76 years of occupation, displacement, and dispossession for Palestinians.
It also marks one year of global joint struggle and resistance.
Last year, VL hosted “Liberatory Lineages: Joint Struggle for Palestinian Liberation & an End to Genocide,” a community space drawing on Asian American, Pacific Islander, Black, SWANA, and Palestinian histories of occupation, genocide, and colonization to deepen our commitment to anti-Zionism and a free Palestine. Speakers shared personal and academic teach-ins, read poems, storyshared around family histories, presented action items, and more.
Today, we are making the event recording public – to serve as an archive of resistance and to engage in the act of remembering our histories and commitment to liberation. We are grateful to all our partners, speakers, and interpreters in this workshop, and hope you feel moved and strengthened by what they share. As a racial solidarity organization, we call on all communities, including Asian American and Pacific Islanders, to keep organizing, protesting, boycotting, grieving, and donating wherever we can to support Palestinian liberation and decolonial resistance movements everywhere.
Honor the martyrs. Arms embargo now. Free all prisoners. End the occupation.
From the river to the sea.
