When she's not writing, she works as an Employment Program Coordinator at Trans Can Work, a non-profit organization committed to creating transformative and inclusive workplace cultures where trans and gender-nonconforming individuals can thrive. She previously attended the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Solidarity Arts Fellowship reflection

“Through Vigilant Love, I learned about the true definition of community building, solidarity, and what showing up for others really looks like. I learned that vulnerability, accountability, honesty, and a willingness to learn and grow are all essentials in the fight for our collective justice and liberation. Through the various workshops I attended that ranged from body movement practices to group writing sessions, I learned that artivism (the intersection of art and activism) can be used as a powerful tool for healing and a form of creative resistance.”

Object of resilience

“My object of resilience is a book called "All About Love" by bell hooks. As an author, bell hooks has been critical in my lifelong learning process and education on what it means to fight for transformative and restorative justice, liberation, and radical change.”
